Brixham – [72nm] – Guernsey – [82 nm] – Weymouth – [61nm] – Southampton.

This 3-day trip includes 3 x 60nm passages in tidal waters, including 20 night hours. This is perfect for anyone wanting to build real-world sailing experience in tidal waters. The total tidal sail miles on this trip will be in the region of 220nm, with 20 night hours. Note: the price is for the complete 3 leg trip. You might want to consider completing the return trip and obtaining 6 x passages greater than 60nm plus approx 500nm in total. You can do this trip with us as many times as you like to build your knowledge and experience, all with the guidance from a very experienced commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster instructor. The more trips you join, the cheaper it becomes. 

This is of particular interest to candidates preparing for the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore examinations. We run regular trips in tidal waters between our bases in Southampton, the Channel Islands and the West Country, and back again. This trip is broken into 3 x legs greater than 60nm each way, so a return trip means 6 x greater than 60nm legs in total. Each leg is expected to take one day (12-15 hours) with some night hours included as this is also a requirement for those preparing for the RYA Yachtmaster.
